Inputfields in web.cfm or server.cfm do not accept ? (Questionmark)

Description

It's an Issue of the Lucee Version 5.2.9.31. All Server with Lucee < 5.2.9.31 are working fine. All Input fields on the Form do not accept the question mark. A big issue is this in form field for password, because the characters are masked.

A workaround is to paste ? (Questionmarks) via clipboard in the Inputfield.

is this issue known? are there a bugfix?

Environment

Ubuntu Server 12.x up to 18.x with Apache. The Serverenvironment seems not to affect the issue.

Issue fixed in 5.2.9.32 version, Please check update core from admin.

Can you please update with latest snaphot version of lucee (5.3 or 5.2) & check it. I think Issue has been already fixed.

Thx, for your investigation. Now I tested more constellations and figured this out. Lucee 5.2.9.31

  • Windows & Chrome - OK

  • MacOs 10.14 & Safari - NOK

  • MacOs 10.14 & Chrome - NOK

  • MacOs 10.14 & Opera - NOK

  • MacOs 10.14 & FireFox - OK

We will wait until a Version > 5.2.9.31 will be official released. In the meantime we have workarounds (copy & past or using Firefox)

Hi ,

I've checked this ticket with windows 10 & ubuntu. Its working fine for me. Issue fixed from Lucee 5.2.9.32 & 5.3.146. Clear the cache, Please check it once again & report back here.
