I've analyzed this ticket & confirmed the issue happened on lucee. If we try to delete the directoryWatcher created by Administrator cfc or admin tag, it won't delete. It shows remains up in the admin. But delete working fine after restart the lucee server. It deletes the entry in lucee=web.xml.

Using remove admin.removeGatewayEntry(), also doesn't remove entry from admin.

you can delete the api created DirectoryWatcher via the web admin, only if you edit and save it first

i was trying to use a DirectoryWatcher with the docs, the requirement to have the listener.cfc
under web-inf made it a no go.

• clone the lucee docs repo

• uncomment this https://github.com/lucee/lucee-docs/blob/master/server/Application.cfc#L13

• copy the listener under web-inf as commented here https://github.com/lucee/lucee-docs/blob/master/server/Application.cfc#L212

• run the /serve.bat or /serve.sh,

• open the web admin http://127.0.0.1:4040/lucee/admin/web.cfm?action=services.gateway

• try and delete the directoryWatcher

I've analyzed this ticket & I couldn't able to reproduce the issue on lucee 5.2.6.60 version. Deleted that gateway instance (created via web admin & created via admin.updateGatewayEntry()). Both two ways are deleted as expected.

Did you see any error while deleting gateway instance ?
