I've checked and confirmed the issue with Lucee version 6.1.0.243. the express version are failed while running.

This should be classified as critical. Because all express builds are currently broken.

Looks like this got overwritten\renamed 2 months ago. Guessing it was tomcat 9 prior so when the express artifacts where built it was using 9 and then got switched to 8 in update/S3.cfc …

Downloaded lucee-express-6.1.0.243.zip from the website and got a weird error trying to run catalina.sh about endorsed dirs. after some digging and running version.sh realized it was using tomcat 8.0.36. In the zip can see that the files in bin are dated from 2016. tried looking the code base where express is built ( ant, etc ) could see it anywhere so couldn’t try and do a PR.
