Unable to add MySQL datasource

Description

When I try to add a MySQL datasource in Lucee Server Administrator, I get the following error message:

Communications link failure

The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server.

I verified that MySQL works on my machine. Is this an issue with Lucee?

Please advise.

Environment

Mac OS X Yosemite, Tomcat 8.0.26, MySQL 5.6.26, issue is actually with Lucee v 4.5.1.024 stable - not included in versions dropdown list

- This normally suggests either the MySQL is not running, you have the host value incorrect or some sort of firewall issue, it almost definitely is not a Lucee issue.
